FuturLab has announced that Xbox Game Pass sensation PowerWash Simulator has seen over seven million players pick up a hose for a spot of cleaning.
When PowerWash Simulator arrived on Xbox Game Pass last July, it became quite the sensation and had reached over three million players by September. Now FuturLabs has announced that the player count has doubled in the last six months, reaching more than seven million globally.
FuturLab prepares for additional growth with new chief financial officer
“With over 7 million players, we are honoured that so many people have found their zen with PowerWash Simulator,” FuturLab’s co-CEO Kirsty Rigden said. “The strength in our community is palpable. Since we launched into Early Access, the support for our soothing sim has been immense, and we are extremely grateful that this has continued to strengthen past release.”
As revealed with last month’s Muckingham Files update, the team has plans for a number of new updates and Special Packs throughout 2023 and looks to expand the lore found in the Muckingham universe. A physical PowerWash Simulator launch for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One is coming in June.
FuturLab has also appointed Steve Tinkler as the company’s chief financial officer, who has a background of working with “fast-growing entrepreneurial businesses,” with former roles including Epic’s strategic finance director and Mediatonic’s CFO during the early growth of Fall Guys. According to Tinkler, “FuturLab has some incredibly exciting plans,” but we’ll need to wait to see what the company is cooking up.
