You can build or find up to 4 different plate carriers/vests in the DMZ mode:
- Comms Vest
- Stealth Vest
- Medic Vest
- Tempered Vest
These vests each come with unique perks and abilities that can enhance your game in the DMZ mode. However, you need some specific materials to create each one using the system for Vest Barter Recipes.
How To Create The Comms Vest in DMZ

- 2x Batteries
- 2x Hard Drives
The Plate Comms Vest is one of the very useful plate carriers in the DMZ mode. This vest is radar-based, and you can use it to spot enemy operators. You can create this vest by finding all three packs of items above and using them in the Barter system, which is in the Buy Station’s menu. This vest is available to build in both Al-Mazrah and Ashika Island.
The required items for creating the Comms Vest are all available as ground loot in DMZ maps. But if you don’t want to do the extra looting steps, you can always head to Al-Mazrah, and kill the Pyro boss! The Pyro is usually in the U.S. Embassy in Al-Mazrah City or in the Al-Mazrah Airport on the south side of the map. You might have a chance of getting this vest by looting the Pyro.
How to Create The Stealth Vest in DMZ

You can only build the Stealth vest on the Al-Mazrah map. However, its usage is for those who want to counter the Comms Vest advantages. This is actually the same as the Ghost perk in Warzone 2, which allows you to stay undetected by the enemy UAVs.

Now do you want to be able to revive your teammates and even yourself faster? The Medic Vest is the answer.

Now this vest is exclusive to Ashika Island for now, and it’s suitable for players who want to save some extra armor. The Tempered Vest in the DMZ mode is exactly the same thing that you can find in Warzone 2 game modes as well. Allowing you to only carry two plates while still having the maximum HP of three plates.
