Trainwrecks Claims 90 Out of Top 100 Twitch Streamers Are Viewbotting

Tyler “Trainwrecks” Niknam is one of the biggest content creators on Twitch and is also one of the most viewed streamers on Twitch. He recently revealed that he was joining Kick as a non-exclusive streamer and non-owner advisor. Trainwrecks he felt that Twitch was headed in the wrong direction and noted that the platform only wants to pad the pockets of a “handful of creators” while ignoring the rest. Recently, in a livestream, Trainwrecks claimed that he is very confident that most of the top streamers on Twitch were viewbotting. He also talked about how Twitch is not very user-friendly while on mobile or when a user is logged out.

To those who don’t know, viewbotting is the practice of artificially inflating the live view count of a stream by using illegitimate scripts or tools to make the channel appear to have more concurrent viewers than it actually does.

Trainwrecks is “confident” in his claim

Trainwrecks talked about the serious issue of viewbotting on Twitch and claimed, “I am under the impression, confidently, that in the top 100, at least 90 out of the 100 are not only blatantly viewbotting but we’re talking massively viewbotting.” However, contrary to his previous statement, he stated that it could be “some schizo delusional sh**” while explaining further.

“For the longest time, I sat there thinking, ‘Why are these streamers with either my viewership average or higher than me by 20-30 thousand…Why are they sitting there so worried about me? Why am I hearing all these things behind the scenes, you know?” he added. He also reasoned if they could just be insecure.

Trainwrecks continued that he gained access to a few “backend, codey” websites that allow people to check the actual viewerships and stated that he and Jaryd Russell Lazar aka summit1g were the only few in the top 100 who maintained a 99% logged-in viewership average. “Everyone else ranged from 45% to 85% logged-in accounts. Which would leave that 55% to 15% logged-out accounts watching,” he claimed.

Train argued that it is unnatural for regular viewers of a streamer to watch their stream while logged out and stated that Twitch is not user-friendly while not in an account, especially on mobile.

According to him, the fact that he’s able to have actual 99% logged-in viewers even if it’s just 35,000 viewers is the reason why other streamers are scared or insecure. He added that the numbers are real, be it his viewership or his Tweet metrics. “To be insecure about things like numbers, when you are already the largest of the large, and are so worried about people half your size, to me, that’s a major red flag in my head. Especially when the backend numbers match up,” Trainwrecks stated.
