Capcom will be holding a special Street Fighter 6 question and answer stream today with the game’s two head developers, Director Takayuki Nakayama and Producer Shuhei Matsumoto, offering direct explanations for some of the most prominent inquiries fans still have about the game.
This is all slated to begin at 2 p.m. Pacific Time, and we already have something of an idea as to a few of the most likely questions to be asked.
Capcom made an announcement about this stream back on Wednesday, and requested fans post their questions to a particular reddit thread. While we can’t be certain of which questions Capcom will choose to provide answers to on stream, we can easily highlight a few of the most upvoted ones.
Atop the reddit thread sits by far the most upvoted question: Have you considered a jukebox mode where we can set and listen to music from all of the previous SF titles?
Not only does this post have a ton of traction, there are additional posts asking the same question just a bit further down and so we assume Nakayama and Matsumoto will have a response ready to go.
Street Fighter 6’s Modern controls has been a head turning topic lately as the community isn’t quite sure that the more simplified means of playing won’t be naturally superior to its Classic controls counterpart.
As such, the question “What is the ultimate intent of Modern Controls? What are their thoughts on pro players considering using Modern Controls in tournaments?” is another front runner for this Q&A session.
We also recently learned the official identities of the first four DLC characters slated to join the SF6 roster over the course of the next 12 months or so, but there’s been no word from Capcom as to whether SF6 will follow Street Fighter 5’s DLC content model where players have the option to use real money or save up in-game currency to get their hands on new characters.
There are plenty more questions that we may get answers to today, and you can watch right along with us via the Capcom Fighters stream embed below. Chime into the comments with any and all of the things you’d like to learn, and hopefully we’ll get some of those answers in short order.
Street Fighter 6 is slated for release on June 2, 2023. It will launch on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and arcade.
