PS Plus June 2023 free PS4 and PS5 line-up – Date and time for surprise early games reveal | Gaming | Entertainment

PS Plus subscribers might want to tune in to this month’s PlayStation Showcase event. In theory, the June 2023 PlayStation Plus Essentials will be revealed at 4.30pm BST on May 31. The free PS4 and PS5 games would be available to download less than a week later on June 6. However, with Sony holding an hour-long PlayStation Showcase event on May 24, there’s a good chance the company will use the presentation to announce the line-up early. Sony did something similar back in February, when it revealed the March line-up earlier than usual during a State of Play event.

Even if Sony doesn’t announce the full line-up of June PS Plus Essentials on Wednesday, there’s a good chance it will reveal at least one of the games.

Games like Oddworld Soulstorm and Destruction All-Stars were announced as PS Plus Essentials during past State of Play events, so expect something similar to happen this month.

With the games line-up likely to be announced early, Express Online will be back with its very own PS Plus predictions very soon.

Even if the June 2023 games are announced early, there’s still lots of time to download the current line-up of PlayStation Plus Essentials.

The May 2023 line-up is headlined by racing game GRID Legends, although downhill biking game Descenders is arguably the pick of the bunch.

The game features a host of procedurally-generated courses, which users must successfully navigate in order to move the next track and complete the run.

As for the PlayStation Showcase, the event takes place at 9pm BST on Wednesday, May 24.

According to Sony, the event will focus on upcoming PS5 and PSVR 2 games, combining new reveals with trailers for previously announced titles.

“The show will run a bit over an hour, focusing on PS5 and PS VR2 games in development from top studios from around the world.

“Expect a glimpse at several new creations from PlayStation Studios, as well as spellbinding games from our third-party partners and indie creators.”

Fingers crossed for that Bloodborne remaster, or maybe a brand new sequel.
