Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is set to be released by Nintendo in September 2022, and a new leak appears to confirm when we may be seeing the Special Edition become available for pre-order.
Previous iterations of the game have had Special Edition versions of the RPG available for the Wii and Wii U, so fans are hoping to see a premium version of the title for Nintendo Switch.
Whilst we do know that there will be a Special Edition of the game coming, this new rumour appears to indicate when the pre-order itself will become available!
Here is everything you need to know about the new leak regarding Xenoblade Chronicles 3 and the Special Edition for the game.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Special Edition Pre-Order
A thread on the r/GamingLeaksandRumours Subreddit discussed a recent leak from 4Chan that stated that the Special Edition will be available for pre-order following the next Nintendo Direct.
The original poster noted the following: “Take this with a grain of salt, as it’s 4chan, but the post seemed to gain a ton of traction on the website itself and had a really genuine demeanour. This post could also hint at a Nintendo Direct soon since the XC3 Special Edition was already revealed.
“1 for 1 copy and paste of the post: ‘I work at a company that’s ‘shipping contractors’ for Nintendo or whatever it is. I don’t know the extent of their relations but my manager who I hooked on to the first Xenoblade told me that the game 12 KB JPG store a few blocks from us (in Mexico at least) would be getting the copies of the game 2 weeks early (technically 15 days early but same thing) and that the company (not us directly) would be told how many copies they are expected to be distributed to different places after the next news presentation, as that was when special edition pre-orders would be opened.
“So I guess if you are waiting around for the special edition, it’s after their next direct and if you are also in Mexico, you might be able to get the game early.”
Again it’s worth noting that this leak originally comes from 4Chan, which can be hit and miss when it comes to leaks.
However, it’s certainly not out of the question that Nintendo would get pre-order copies of the RPG available following the next Nintendo Direct event.
As this leak originally comes from 4Chan it should certainly be taken with a grain of salt and is not definitive by any means as of writing.
We will hopefully be able to confirm this leak nearer the next Nintendo Direct event itself!
