FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – No. 8 Arkansas (10-2), which has not lost a home weekend series to a non-conference opponent since the 2014 campaign, hosts Louisiana Tech (8-4) in the final non-conference weekend series before SEC play.
First pitch in the three-game set between the Hogs and Bulldogs is 3 p.m. Friday, March 10, at Baum-Walker Stadium. The series opener will not be broadcast due to conflicts with multiple on-campus events and SEC replay requirements.
Friday’s game can be heard on the Razorback Sports Network from Learfield, including locally in Fayetteville on 92.1 FM or through the Razorback app, with Phil Elson (play-by-play) and former Razorback Bubba Carpenter (analyst) on the call.

Series History
Arkansas leads the all-time series with Louisiana Tech, 27-7, including a 13-2 record in games played in Fayetteville, Ark. The Razorbacks have never lost a weekend series against the Bulldogs, most recently taking two of three games from LA Tech in a weekend series played in Ruston, La., in 2021.
Under head coach Dave Van Horn, the Hogs are 19-6 overall against the ‘Dogs. Arkansas has played six weekend series against Louisiana Tech since Van Horn’s first year at the helm in 2003, winning all six with two sweeps (2004 & 2006).
Stay Tough
Conference USA foe Louisiana Tech is Arkansas’ fifth opponent this season that advanced to the postseason last year.
The Bulldogs, who have made NCAA Tournament appearances in each of the past two seasons, are one of an SEC-most 15 opponents on the Hogs’ 2023 schedule that advanced to the postseason last year. This season, Arkansas is 6-1 against 2022 NCAA Tournament team, including a three-game series sweep against Wright State one weekend ago.

Friday’s series opener is the 10th game of the Hogs’ 18-game homestand. Arkansas is 8-1 through the first nine games, including last weekend’s series sweep against Horizon League foe and 2022 NCAA Tournament participant Wright State.

Through 12 games, two Razorbacks – Jace Bohrofen and Jared Wegner – are hitting above the .400 mark on the season.
Bohrofen is slashing a team-leading .444/.580/.806 with three home runs and 10 RBI in 12 games. Wegner, meanwhile, has posted a .422/.526/.911 slash line with a team-high six homers and a team-best 22 RBI in 12 games.
As a team, Arkansas is slashing .308/.417/.558 with 25 home runs and 104 RBI through the first 12 games of the season. The Razorbacks’ team batting average (.308) is their highest through the first 12 games of a season since 2018, when the Hogs also hit .308 over the first 12 games of the campaign.
