Another day, another PS4 emulator. After Spine’s latest release last week, developer InoriRus has released Kyty, a PS4/PS5 emulator for Windows in early stages of development. As specified by the developer, Graphics for PS5 is not yet implemented, so for now consider this a PS4 emulator more than anything else 😉
What is Kyty
Kyty is a PS4/PS5 emulator (running on Windows x64) in early stages of development
From the Readme:
Graphics for PS5 is not yet implemented
It is possible to run some simple games for PS4
There maybe graphics glitches, crashes, freezes and low FPS. It’s OK for now.
Features that are not implemented:
-
Audio input/output
-
MP4 video
-
Network
-
Multi-user
Path to Savedata folder is hardcoded and can’t be configured. System parameters (language, date format, etc.) are also hardcoded. Check out BrutalSam’s video below, showcasing the emulator in action:
Download and run Kyty PS4 Emulator
You can download the Kyty emulator on the project’s github here.
To run the emulator:
- unzip the package in your folder of choice
- Have you executable (elf) PS4 files in a specific folder
- Run the launcher and create a configuration. Select the folder where your elf files are, and check “run elf” for the specified binary.
Keep in mind that this is in very early stage, do not expect miracles yet 🙂
