Phantasy Star Online 2 and PSO2 New Genesis PS4 versions are finally going to appear outside Japan. As part of the Anime Expo 2022 announcements, Sega confirmed a global release. The only consoles with the MMORPGs outside Japan right now are ones in the Xbox family. They will arrive on the PlayStation Store on August 31, 2022.
Here’s the official announcement.

PSO2 New Genesis launched on Xbox consoles and PCs back in June 2021.
This doesn’t mean every version of Phantasy Star Online 2 will soon be available worldwide. There’s no news about the Nintendo Switch port. A cloud version of the MMO is available on the console in Japan. There was also, at one point, a Vita version available. People in Japan were able to play it until service ended in September 2020.
Phantasy Star Online 2 and PSO2 New Genesis will come to the PS4 on August 31, 2022. People can immediately play both games on the Xbox One, Xbox Series X (via backward compatibility), and PC worldwide.
