Styles welcomes Premier League ‘offer’
Barnsley midfielder Callum Styles has spoken about his dream of becoming a Premier League player amid renewed reports that the now-League One player is on Nottingham Forest’s ‘radar’.
The 22-year-old was reportedly the subject of a £1.5 million offer from the Reds back in January, though it was ‘made clear’ that Styles wanted to stay at Barnsley while they were still in the midst of their attempt to avoid relegation from the Championship. That effort eventually ended in vain, with the South Yorkshire side finishing rock-bottom of the second tier.
Since that disappointing collective end to the season, Styles has been enhancing his individual credentials on the international stage after helping adopted nation Hungary to a historic win over England in the Nations League over the weekend. Introduced as a second-half substitute, the midfielder helped the Magyars hold onto their 1-0 advantage.
