Developer JanduSoft has announced Hyper Shapes, a minimalist boss rush game.
Arriving on Xbox next month, Hyper Shapes asks players to learn enemy patterns, and understand each boss’ weakness, in order to take them down. However, in this game, the bosses aren’t huge ogres or intimidating knight. They’re shapes, and so are you!
Each room in the game features a surprise, screen-filling boss fight, and you have to use your power ball (no prizes for guessing what shape that is) in order to take each boss down, with gameplay described as “easy to play, hard to master”. Hyper Shapes is launching on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC on 26th January 2023.
