And based on the many, many takes we’ve seen online, the aforementioned demo hasn’t really helped. Some think it’s fine and that the full game will likely be much improved, while others reckon it’s a worrying glimpse into a flawed release. We played it ourselves, and while we don’t think that the demo does a very good job of introducing its various mechanics, it’s definitely rough around the edges.
As always, we’d encourage everyone not to judge a game too harshly until it’s actually released — but with Forspoken, the signs do point towards a title that’s going to split people’s opinions. It’ll be very interesting to see how it reviews.
