Fall Guys is FINALLY on Nintendo Switch and it’s FREE
Fall Guys via YouTubeThere might not be such a thing as a free lunch, but a free video game is inarguably better — and right now “Fall Guys” is free on no fewer than three different platforms: Playstation 5, Xbox Series X, and Nintendo Switch. Switch and Xbox are the newest consoles to enjoy the game on, while the new version—the one out for all platforms—is an upgrade on the one previously enjoyed on the PS5 and Epic Games Store.
“Fall Guys,” in case you missed the phenomenon, is a battle royale game where up to 60 players can complete against each other in a series of minigames. The “guys” aren’t people but colorful, amorphous shapes that are reminiscent of Mike and Ikes.
The Free for All edition of the game, now out, has been engineered to work seamlessly no matter which platform you’re playing the game on, and there’s a ton of other upgrades on the new version of the game, too: just-released Rounds, new Costumes (a penguin has been sighted, which we can’t argue with), and a new Season Pass.
The new Rounds include a Hex-a-Ring game described as “spinning chaos” — basically a rotating version of Hex-a-Gone — as well as a Speed Circuit Round, where characters have to run three laps around a track while dodging obstacles. There’s also VolleyFall, which is pretty similar to volleyball except there can be two little Fall Guys involved instead of massive teams.
New obstacles, like Blast Balls (timed exploding balls), Jump Ropes (which make you hop, fly, and jump around a ring), and bouncy floors on the Blunderdome, have made an appearance as well.
Download the new game on whichever game center your preferred platform uses — after all, it’s free and there’s a ton going on. You can download it via your subscription for PS Plus, Xbox Live, and/or Nintendo Switch Online right now, so you don’t miss a moment of the lil’ guys action.
