If you’re on Xbox, and want to know how to download the beta – you’ve come to the right place. Here’s our guide to downloading the Diablo 4 beta on Microsoft’s console.
How to play the Diablo 4 beta Early Access on Xbox Series X|S & Xbox One
First, follow the instructions to redeem your code as outlined here. Be sure to select Xbox as your format of choice when you’re given the option.
Assuming your beta code redemption is successful, you’ll then be sent a platform-specific code. On your console – or via the Xbox app – head to the Xbox Marketplace tile and select ‘Redeem Code’.
Enter your code, and it should give you the option to download the beta client. Download it, and once it’s finished installing, you should be ready to play when the beta begins.

How to play the Diablo 4 open beta on Xbox Series X|S & Xbox One
For the open beta, the instructions are simple – just head to the Xbox Marketplace – and then the option to Search. In the search box, type in ‘Diablo IV open beta’ – you should see the tile for the beta appear once the open beta preload is live.
If you were already in the early access beta – or happen to have that client already installed – you won’t need to download it again. Just keep it on your console’s storage, and it’ll turn into an open beta client once the second weekend rolls around.
You shouldn’t need an active Xbox Live subscription for the beta – but it looks like you will need it for the full game.
The Diablo 4 Early Access beta begins on March 17 and will run through to March 20. Meanwhile, the open beta starts on March 24 and continues until March 27. You can find out exactly what time that is in your timezone here.
Diablo 4 then will release in full on June 6, 2023.
